		<description>You can tell which way a ref plane has BEEN drawn by naming it.  Then when you select it, if the name is on the right end, the extrusion will extrude up.  If the name is on the left, it will extrude down.  If at the top, to the left. and if at the bottom, to the right.

And just to make things all &quot;Revit-ey&quot; the planes found by default in families (and their templates) behave the exact oposite.
